I have always been a fan of Mycams, having an account there; this review may be a little bias however I shall do my best to make it fair! Being a long term member however I know the ins and outs of this site very well!
First of all, what exactly is Mycams? Well simple put it is a live adult webcam community where members chat with each other with live webcams filming each member. Sounds rather boring yes? Well no, what makes Mycams different and hence being reviewed on this site is that the webcams are often filming naked men and women playing with themselves and when that happens a community can really flourish!
The positives I see to this site are straight away the number of live models online. 2239 live models. That’s incredible, for a site to get that many members on half nude on their webcams at any one time is really impressive, not many other webcam sites are able to do this and I should know, I have reviewed pretty much all of them.
Webcam models are then divided up by niche so you can choose which model you want to have a live chat with. There is something for everyone, from the 18-23 niche right up to the mature niche and they also have a large gay section with thousands of male models. There are also specialist cams, such as shemale and group sex webcams. What ever your fetish there should be members on Mycams who share that fetish.
This site is also free, however there is a limit to how long you can stay online with a model for, however this can be corrected by getting a free account.
Models charge 1.99 to 5.99 for private chat. The model sets the price barrier. You are however more than welcome to enjoy a free chat between a model however you share the room with other viewers.
There is a very nice feature called MyFavourites and you can add your favourite model to your list and it then tells you when he/she is online so you can find him/her online and chat with them from where you left of.
Each model has their own profile where you can find a detailed biography about them, although some models have not bothered to fill it in. You can also find pictures of them they have uploaded as well as details if they are online or not.
Once in private chat with a model called Crush, a hot 21 year old, I was very impressed with the way she teased me. I was able to turn on the audio and hear everything she said (and did). I was also able to make the screen full size so it was just her and I and also I kept in contact with her via my microphone.
One critism I do have over this site is the number of Asian and Eastern European models on the site, there is certainly an imbalance. During my work with porn, I have noticed trends between the viewer and the performer and they are often from the same country or countries with similar cultures.
